The OCVN program promotes awareness and citizen stewardship of Ohio’s natural resources through science-based education and community service. Those trained in the program are paired with parks, nature centers and other locations for volunteer service. Topics covered include: Interpretation, Forestry, Soils & Geology, Insects, Mammals, Plants, Birds, Herps, Aquatics, Weather and Stewardship. The program cost is $150/person and includes the manual & certification.

Training will be held on the following Tuesday evenings and Saturday day classes. Tuesday classes run 6-9 PM and the Saturday classes run 9 AM-3:30 PM. The first class meets at Oakwoods Nature Preserve, Discovery Center. Required to be ages 18 and up.
