The McKinnis family has been busy gathering and putting away items from this year’s harvest. Root crops, such as potatoes, carrots, turnips, and parsnips would have to be carefully stored to last through the winter. Learn how this was done and taste the baked turnips that Mrs. Boylan has been preparing. The men will be in the workshop, tidying up and getting garden tools ready for winter storage.
