Insect Exploration

In this program, we will explore the south side of Litzenberg Memorial Woods in search of insects. But first, we will meet at the shelter to discuss entomology, how to use the nets and other collecting equipment, and safety tips while exploring. Finding, capturing, and studying insects will help us learn about them and their habitat. Since collecting will occur in the prairie environment, participants should wear long pants and long sleeve shirts. This nature study activity is ideal for parents and children to spend quality time together in the park.

Free; but click here to register by 1 PM on Wednesday, August 31. Adults do not need to register.
