Hike the Deer Haven Trail
October 4 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Free
Explore the newly opened Deer Haven Trail, named for the abundance of deer found in the area. This 0.75-mile trail in the southwest corner of the nature preserve loops around a section of former farmland that has been left untouched for nature to reclaim since the park’s opening in 1985. View the area’s unique features and search for plants and animals that live there. To access the trail, participants must cross Aurand Run by walking on steppingstones in the water. Wear closed-toed shoes and clothing that can get wet.
