Ohio’s state gemstone is a rock known as flint. Learn about flint’s geology, what makes Ohio’s flint special, and its importance as a tool making material for both Native Americans and European settlers. View examples of different types of Ohio flint and the park’s collection of Native American arrowheads and other flint tools. Children who attend can color a coloring page and create their own arrowhead out of air-dried clay.
