About the Hancock Parks Foundation
The Hancock Parks Foundation was created in 1989 by community leaders who believed the park system, as an important public trust, should have financial help beyond tax levies approved by citizens of Hancock County. As an Ohio not-for-profit corporation, the Hancock Parks Foundation is governed by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt charitable organization. All donations are tax deductible.
The BOARD OF TRUSTEES strives to raise funds as part of its Annual “Give a Gift of Nature” Campaign aimed at supplementing the Hancock Park District’s budget in an effort to advance and improve parks, programs, and services. A GIFT CATALOG has been established to directly benefit the Hancock Park District and other organizations that agree to utilize financial aid and support exclusively for parks and recreation in Hancock County. It affords the Hancock Park District the opportunity to facilitate your quest for an enriched quality of life.
While many gifts to the Hancock Parks Foundation are in the form of cash, other giving opportunities include restricted or unrestricted bequests from charitable remainder trusts, wills, and estate planning that can benefit the donor and the community.
