Nature’s Virtual Classroom: Winter Tree I.D.

February 7 @ 12:00 am - February 13 @ 11:59 pm

  • « Beginner Cross-country Ski Workshops
  • (REGISTRATION DEADLINE) History How-To: Making a Quilted Table Runner »

This program will promote learning from home via an HPD staff-produced  video on the Hancock Park District’s YouTube Channel. In this class, children will learn how to identify native Northwest Ohio trees in winter. It is easy to identify trees when their limbs are full of green leaves in the summer and when leaves change color in the fall. It is not so easy to identify trees when the leaves are gone. You will learn how to identify trees by their bark and leaf/bud scars.

Recommended for children ages 6–10.

Free, registration is not required.
