Nature’s Virtual Classroom: Squirrels
February 14 @ 12:00 am - February 20 @ 11:59 pm
This program will promote learning from home via an HPD staff-produced video on the Hancock Park District’s YouTube Channel. In this class, children will learn about squirrels native to Ohio. Why do squirrels climb trees, eat nuts, and invade our bird feeders? Because they’re squirrels. Learn how to identify four native species of squirrel by their fur color, size, and tracks and learn how to determine if you have fox squirrels, gray squirrels, red squirrels, or Southern flying squirrels in your backyard.
Recommended for children ages 6–10.
Free, registration not required.
