National Squirrel Appreciation Day Hike

January 21, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

There are several types of squirrels in our parks, but do you know which one is considered a night glider? The squirrel is very helpful in the forest because it is always hiding nuts for winter. If the nuts are not eaten, they can grow into new trees. As we hike, we will look for squirrel nests. Do not go nuts inside, get some fresh air outside on the trails.
