Maple Sugarin’ Public Day
March 9 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join the Hancock Park District during the only time of the year for collecting sap from maple trees. We will demonstrate how that sweet one-of-a-kind syrup was made in the past by pioneers and Native Americans. Remember the story of maple syrup-making by creating a beaded maple leaf key chain in the shelter. Walk the trails, enjoy the scenic sap science stop, visit the McKinnis family home, and warm-up in the Activity Barn with a hot drink and maple sweets sold by Fruths’ Sugarhouse.
All ages welcome. Free, registration not required.
