Lichens Hike: Open House

Lichens love to live with the fungi of the woods, so come and view the lichen display of those found in Ohio and have your lichen questions answered. Lichens are great decomposers and come in many colors and shapes. After visiting the Discovery Center, you can take a self-guided lichen hike on the .95-mile Aurand Run Trail and look to see if you can find lichens. They can grow almost anywhere such as on rotting logs, rocks, and tree branches.
