Homeschoolers in the Park (Ages 5–8)

Returning for its sixth year is a series for homeschooled students. Homeschoolers will engage in hands-on projects and activities to learn about science and animals. The Wednesday and Thursday sessions will take place outdoors as often as possible at a variety of locations in the Hancock Park System. Students will have an opportunity to make friends and gain confidence, utilize problem solving skills and independent thinking, and have fun! Newsletters will be sent out every month with pictures and information about what your student did during the class.

The first session will take place in the Discovery Center at Oakwoods Nature Preserve. A schedule will be passed out at the first session.

Minimum: 3/Maximum: 8 per class

NOTE: All individuals age 10 years old or older are required to wear a facial covering when at an indoor location and when outdoors but unable to maintain a six-foot distance from people who are not household members. Exclusions include those with a medical condition or a disability or those communicating with someone with a disability.
