Globe at Night: Cygnus
September 17 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Globe at Night is an international citizen-science campaign to raise public awareness about the impact of light pollution. This will be done by measuring the sky brightness of this month’s constellation, Cygnus. Participants will learn the size and location of Cygnus and also some mythology about it. We’ll then turn to the night sky to find it and record our observations.
Recommended for ages 8 and up.
NOTE: All individuals age 10 years old or older are required to wear a facial covering when at an indoor location and when outdoors but unable to maintain a six-foot distance from people who are not household members. Exclusions include those with a medical condition or a disability or those communicating with someone with a disability.
