Birds of the Night Sky

October 9 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Of the 88 modern constellations, nine of them represent birds. Some of the birds can be seen in our night sky, while others are only seen in the southern hemisphere. In our indoor portable planetarium, we will look at and talk about the nine bird constellations. We will talk about their major stars, look at the deep space objects they contain, and talk about their mythology. Afterward, we will look at other objects that can be found in the autumn sky. Participants are required to sit on the floor. Ask about accommodations.
