Zonta Landing Boat Rentals

Zonta Landing Boat Rentals, located within Riverside Park Waterfront, welcomes visitors to the Old Mill Stream. A public service, operated by the Hancock Park District, the boat livery rents canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats seasonally Memorial Weekend through Labor Day, on weekends and holidays from 1 to 7 PM. Other opportunities for all day float trips and group reservations are available by calling the HPD office and are not available during normal business hours at the boat livery.

FEES: Half hour rental rates are set at $5.00 per watercraft. HPD accepts checks (preferred), made payable to Hancock Park District, or cash in small denominations, an exact amount is appreciated. Rental fees are paid when equipment is rented at Zonta Landing. HPD no longer accepts any bills larger than $20 denomination for facility reservations, program fees, and concession fees (ski rentals, boat rentals, and hayrides).
NOTE: Pedal boats are not available for rental in 2020.
Available during other times for groups renting six or more watercrafts at the concession site.
Fall Float Trips will be available through the end of October as long as water levels and weather conditions are suitable. Groups using a minimum of six canoes for at least one hour, or individuals renting all day, can call the HPD office during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM, except on holidays, to check availability. Group rates are set at $20 per canoe. $20 per double kayak, or $10 per solo kayak for all day rentals, or $8 per hour, and $25 for individual all day rentals. Fees must be paid in advance of your outing to confirm the reservation. A signed WAIVER must be submitted with your reservation.
Good Canoeing Sites along the “Old Mill Stream”, through Hancock County, are located at two prime sections of the Blanchard River. Float trips west of Findlay can launch down river from Liberty Landing and float west to Blanchard Landings, requiring three to four hours. The HPD can also provide transportation for the canoes and kayaks. Hourly trips up river from Riverside Park can extend to Bright Road (C.R. 95) or beyond, depending on weather levels.
