Apple Pie Contest Winner

Congratulations to Donna Smith, the winner of the Autumn Fest Apple Pie Contest!

Donna turned to two sources to construct her winning pie. “I found the crust recipe on Alexa. The filling recipe was from a recipe pamphlet that my father brought home to my mother from General Motors, where he worked.”

Out of nine delicious entries, Donna’s pie won four of the four categories. The contest was one of the many features of the first Autumn Fest at Litzenberg, held October 19, 2019 at Litzenberg Memorial Woods.

You can bake your own version of Donna’s pie by downloading the complete recipe here.
