PARK MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The Park Maintenance Technician (Grade 7—Permanent/Part-time) is responsible for maintaining grounds, facilities, buildings, vehicles, and equipment; planning, recommending, and implementing park improvement projects, and working independently or with full-time, part-time, and seasonal Park Operations Department staff and volunteers.
Qualifications include two years of relevant experience in the area of construction and hands-on maintenance of grounds, buildings, and facilities is preferred. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications is preferred. Communicate in a clear and professional manner both orally and in writing. Demonstrate high professional standards, a progressive park management mindset, and the willingness to accept new challenges, technologies, and opportunities.
This position pays $12,360.00 based on a maximum of 1,200 hours a year at $10.30 an hour. Work occurs predominantly on weekdays. Benefits include one paid personal day each year after six months of employment and a pension plan through the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).
