The New Moon
October 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
A new moon is located on the same side of Earth as the Sun. Therefore, it’s not visible at this phase. Without moonlight though, faint stars and galaxies have a better chance of being seen. See which ones are in October’s night sky by visiting our portable planetarium. Participants are required to sit on the floor. Ask about accommodations.
Recommended for ages 5 and up. Free, but register by 4 PM on Thursday, October 19.
