Returning for its second year is a series of 10 classes for homeschooled students. Come out on the first Wednesday of each month from September to June to explore different science-based curriculum programs such as earth, space, and life science. Each class will cover some of Ohio’s teaching standards in a fun and exciting way. Most of the classes will be held at Oakwoods Nature Preserve, but we will also visit other parks in Hancock County. We will follow Findlay City Schools for weather delays and cancellations.
In addition to the lesson, we will explore the topic through hands-on activities, games, hikes and crafts. In the first class, students will be able to learn about phases of the moon using Oreos. We will then go into the planetarium to see the night sky and identify the phases.
