Float Trips on the Blanchard River
Location: Blanchard Landing
Description:
This is a popular half-day trip. At 9.3 miles, it is scenic, it has no foreseeable obstacles or portages, and there are bends, narrow sections, and riffles to make it interesting and fun. Wildlife sightings are commonplace. Without stops and with strong and steady paddling, this trip should take approximately 3 hours. If the water level is too low to support boating or if too many obstacles exist in the form of fallen trees, the trip will be cancelled. If the water level is too high, the trip may be postponed until the following day.
