On Saturday, March 10, we’re kicking off the start of the Maple Sugarin’ 2018 by having an all-you-can-eat breakfast. Bring the family out to Litzenberg Memorial Woods Activity Barn for a breakfast of pancakes with syrup, sausage, juice and coffee.
Breakfast will be from 9–11 AM. All ages welcome
Click here to reserve your spot at the table by 12 PM on Friday, March 9 with $5 per person for ages 4 and up; ages 3 and under are free. Minimum: 20/Maximum: 100
Then from 9 AM to 12 PM, step back in time to see the process the pioneers and Native Americans used to collect sap, transport it to the sugar bush, and boil it down to produce sweet maple syrup. Free; registration not required. Other stops of interest include sap science, sap loving animals, and touring the McKinnis House. In the shelter you can make a beaded key chain that will help you remember the story of how we get maple syrup. Stop by the Activity Barn for a hot drink and check out maple goodies being sold by Fruth’s Sugarhouse.
